RIP tania

3 years ago tomorrow, january the 7th was the 20th birthday of one of my closest friends. her 20th birthday was also the day that saw her life end. she was raped and murdered after celebrating with friends. last year, her killer was sentenced to 19 years.

her funeral was well attended... hundreds of people. they had a release of monarch butterflies.

tania mckenzie was the most amazing person you could ever wish to know... she loved people for themselves. tania was true and honest. simply a beautiful person.

so this is my tribute to tania, on the eve of her 23rd birthday. rest in peace, tanz. you are gone from this earth, but you are alive and well in the memories of those that will always love you. and a monarch butterfly shows you are still with us, watching and protecting.
